DIVERSIFIED SERVICES
Shepherd's Centre Foundation believes that each child is different; to enhance children's personal growth we have separated them according to their maturity and needs. Our diversified services include:
HOMES
- 10 are in the Boy’s Home 1 (a home for Secondary school going boys)
- 14 are in the Boy’s Home 2 (a home for Primary school going boys)
- 13 are in the Boy’s Home 3 (a home for young boys)
- 15 are in Skill Training Centre (a home form non-school going boys)
- 21 are in the Girl’s Home (a home for girls)
- 8 are in the Terminally-ill Children’s Home (a home for the toddlers)
- 5 children are doing college/universities education
- 7 boys are learning skills in Montfort Boys Town in Shah Alam
- 10 senior children are currently working
- 35 are in the primary & secondary education
- 13 elders are in the Old Folk’s Home (called a Home for the Golden Years)
Referrals for our orphanage home comes from the National Social Welfare Department, police, hospitals, churches, prison departments, NGO's, individuals, foreign embassy and family members.
TODDLERS HOME (Kids of 6 years & below)
- Toddles that are abundant, neglected or abused are placed here.

Now there are 10 kids staying here, regularly we’ve English & Handy Work by our staff and volunteers from the Association of British Women in Malaysia (ABWM).

Our main emphasis for these children is to nurture and to build self-esteem. The safe and caring environment of the home helps them to regain their trust in adults.
GIRL'S HOME
BOY'S HOME 1 & 2 (Boys 7 – 18 Years of age)
- Boys from broken families are placed here. Many have suffered neglect, abuse and poverty.

This home is divided into two groups. Primary School Boys are in Boys Home 2 & the secondary school going boys are in Boys Home 1

18 boys are in Boys Home 1. They do group studies and organize their own game and competition to keep their fitness. All will receive motivation and guidance to understand life and it is meaning.

Another 23 boys are in Boys Home 2. This group has their own tuitions and game time supervised by our staff.
TERMINALLY-ILL CHILDREN’S HOME (TIC) (Children with chronic illnesses)
- Children with various chronic illnesses are cared here. Due to the dread diseases these children were thrown or abandon in the hospitals or other places.
- In this home they were given care & love. We try to provide them with little luxury because their life span is limited.
- Currently 8 boys with various sicknesses are being cared in this home which is fully furnished with air conditioned and best water filtering system.
- These kids are going through regular medical treatment which cost more that RM5000.00 monthly
SKILL-TRAINING CENTRE (Non-Schooling Boys)

The boys have experienced conflicts at home and have stopped schooling. Here they will have in-house skill and vocational trainings together with character development programmes.

We are renting 2 bungalow lots for 20 boys. They have 4 staff looking after them. There are fish ponds, small vegetable garden and dogs to look after.

These boys also learn languages and simple skills while staying with us such as welding, carpentry, plumbing & wiring.

Once these boys reach 16 years of age, they will be referred to Community Colleges to be trained under the government guided MLVK training for 2 years.

So far 25 boys have been graduated from such training schools and are working now of which 4 of them came back to serve in this home.

These boys once were thrown out by their loved ones thinking they are good for nothing but now they have a certificate which is honored by our government and earning a decent living!
OLD FOLK’S HOME (Home for the Golden Years)
- Many elderly people are rejected by the family and are wondering on our streets now; we provide shelter & care for those people.
- Now there are 5 women & 6 men in this home. Most of them have physical problem and needed regular medical treatment.
